In the course of "the round table" were discussed the organizational and legal aspects of privatization of coal mining enterprises taking into the consideration the conceptual approaches to the reformation of coal-mining industry in Ukraine.
In the meeting took part the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, Ministry of Coal Mining Industry leaders, State Property Fund, leading coal mining agencies, foreign experts and others.
The participants of "round table" stated that "programs and reformation conceptions adopted by the previous Government are not totally implemented and do not cause considerable improvements in the sphere."
It was also emphasised that the constant problems of the sphere are lack of enterprises funds, restriction of the state assistance, lack if foreign investments.
The participants of the "round table" pointed out the attention to the fact that the systems of coal price formation, state aid do not stimulate the enterprises to the optimization of production expenses and increase of the coal-mining rates.
According to the speakers, the privatization is not a mechanism that would solve all the problems in the sphere, though it may assist in attraction of investments.
Having scrutinized the legislative initiatives regarding the privatization of coal mining enterprises property that have been elaborated by the specialists of the Special Supervisory Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization, the participants of the "round table" deem it necessary to elaborated it paint special attention to the property privatization of the coal mining enterprises and their unions as an integral property complex.
